idoLies – ‘Free Your Mind’

The new musical project of talented, multi-phase artist David Chapman, idoLies is aimed squarely at the dance club scene, shifting between driven house vibes and stark EDM influences. A unique project with seemingly unlimited creativity, idoLies has been adding electro-charm to the underground scene for years, and today, we’re shining a light on his latest maxi-single, ‘Free Your Mind’.

After first making his mark through the electro-industrial outfit Kommand+Kontrol, David developed idoLies as a way to focus more heavily on the dance scene, breaking into the spotlight in 2019 with the release of debut single ‘GetOut!’. Released alongside a series of mixes and remixes, the single set the standard for idoLies, and ever since then, he’s just kept getting better.

An invigorating blend of electro-house anthemics, techno drive, and sharp EDM sounds, ‘Free Your Mind’ is the most adventurous and rapturous that idoLies has sounded, carving a brilliant path through the modern electronic soundscape. Released alongside including a new ‘Hard Mix’, and two creative remixes by Allergic DJ and Efeloji, the single has quickly become one of our favourites of the year so far.

You can stream all four mixes of the track below via Spotify, or find them streaming on all major platforms here. Fittingly, ‘Free Your Mind’ has also been added to our annual Spotify playlist where it’s playing alongside a string of other impressive hits from the year.
