Following a string of East Coast tour dates throughout August and September, Jet City Sports Club release their latest single ‘Feeling It All’.
It’s a track laced with Summer vibes, with its breezy hooky chorus sung with heartfelt emotion by lead singer Lilla Obradovic. The band once again worked with producer Fletcher Matthews (Clews, Sweater Curse) with mastering by George Georgiadis (Debbies, The VANNS) to deliver a gliding musical moment to round out a busy year for the Sydney quartet.
Speaking about the single, the band explained, “Feeling it all is a song about the emotional rollercoaster of missing somebody that you love. Sometimes when you’re missing somebody is when you love them the most and that’s what makes being apart so difficult. Not to mention all the other emotional turmoil of life in general, it can be beautiful, poetic but also a little bit sad especially when you’re feeling everything so deeply and personally. Feeling it all is a little bit of a different direction for us musically, leaning more towards pop, and we are nervous yet very excited about the change.”
The song is somewhat more pop than we’ve heard from Jet City Sports Club in the past. Earlier this year they released ‘Green Thumb’ which took its musical cues from Phoebe Bridgers and Beach Bunny.
Lilla, vocalist for the band further added, “Jack and I started writing Feeling it all last year in lock-down and we originally thought we should sell it off to some pop-star haha. Then when we started recording with Fletcher we fleshed it out, bumping ideas off one another and the rest sort of just fell into place.”
