Malmö-based indie pop quintet, Joe & The Anchor, have ignited the music scene with their latest release, 'Do You Wanna Give It A Shot', the first single from their eagerly anticipated debut album, 'Coming Of Age'.
This infectious track, described by one reviewer as "an intense and swinging declaration of newfound love," blends 90s and 00s indie and pop influences with the band's distinctive modern sound. The instrumentation, a fusion of "retro modern soft rock" with "tight drums and deep bass, dreamy ringing riffy pop rock guitars and clean and clear vocals of very high standard," creates a sonic landscape that is both nostalgic and fresh.
