London's Superdays explore broken promises and compulsive cycles in new cut 'Promises'

South East London's vibrant six-piece ensemble Superdays have continued their captivating sonic journey with the release of their new single, 'Promises'. A titanic new release that delves into the vicious cycles we all try to break, it arrives as the band's third release, pathing the way towards the band's first festival appearance at Penn Fest in July.

The band, comprised of Cal Green, Joe Hannen, Harry Wood, Merlon Blake, Harvey Lee, and Louis Stocks, have already demonstrated a natural talent for infectious guitar hooks, atmospheric synths, and hauntingly vulnerable vocals, but their new single goes a step further, backing their stellar sound with a stark and enchanting emotional quality. In perfect form, 'Promises' delves into the hardships of trying to break harmful patterns and the weight of unfulfilled vows to ourselves and others.

The track cleverly reflects these struggles, with 'Promises' beginning delicately, mirroring the initial hope of breaking free from these cycles. As it unfolds, the music swells with a poignant blend of determination and resignation, pushing forward for new space. The sonic landscape is underscored by the emotional battle between the desire for change and the difficulty of escaping deeply ingrained behaviours, before it all comes to a captivating end through layered harmonies and a nuanced, but noticeable depth.

A release that is poignant and relatable, but also effortlessly entertaining, 'Promises' is a raw exploration of human fallibility. The band's masterful storytelling combined with their signature blend of guitar, synths, and vocals delivers a track that simultaneously lingers and inspires.

Available now on all major streaming platforms via APOLLO Distribution, 'Promises' is the sure sign of a band on the rise.
