Love Like Dust Explores the Depths of Emotion in ‘Down the Rabbit Hole (Further We Fall)’

Love Like Dust, a fresh-faced band hailing from the unassuming town of Payson, Utah, burst onto the scene in 2023 with a sound that's both familiar and refreshingly new. Their music, a potent blend of alternative rock, grunge, indie and progressive influences, immediately grabs your attention and pulls you into their sonic world.

The band's driving force, Morgan Young, describes their music as "a modern take" on their collective influences, but Love Like Dust is much more than just a rehash of old sounds. They've managed to capture the raw energy of 90s grunge and alternative rock, while injecting it with a modern indie sensibility and a touch of progressive complexity.

"The primary inspiration driving each song and the songwriting process is the dynamic range found in music, much like one's life; it's happy, sad, anxious, fearful, hopeful… full of light and dark and every feeling in between," explains Morgan. This philosophy is clearly evident in their music, which ebbs and flows between moments of intense energy and quiet introspection.

Their latest single, ‘Down the Rabbit Hole (Further We Fall)’ perfectly encapsulates this dynamic range. A track that was built from scratch within an hour, it showcases the band's ability to craft compelling songs that resonate with raw emotion. Morgan is understandably reluctant to explain the meaning behind the song, stating, "It's difficult to explain the meaning or inspiration behind this song, and I think many songwriters would agree, a song takes on different forms to differing people, at differing times in their life."

Morgan continued, "Whatever and however the words, and accompanying music, speak to you… that is the meaning," It’s a beautiful statement and ‘Down the Rabbit Hole (Further We Fall)’ speaks volumes. It's a song that draws you in with its charm and leaves you pondering with its lyrical depth.

Love Like Dust are a band to watch. With their unique blend of influences and their dedication to creating music that is both meaningful and engaging, they are poised to make a significant impact on the music scene. If ‘Down the Rabbit Hole (Further We Fall)’ is anything to go by, we can expect great things from this exciting new band.
