Love, Marco soundtracks the journey of heartbreak in his second EP, 'Broken Hearts Club', available now. The EP is the follow-up to Love, Marco's 2020 debut EP, 'Motion Sickness', and delivers a sharp collection of feelings and emotions that capture moments of love and hardship experienced throughout the timeline of a relationship.
The focus track on release is the emotive ‘cry’ written by Mike Sabath and Steph Jones and opens with Love, Marco’s buttery smooth vocals over a guitar punctuated verse leading into an uplifting syncopated chorus reassuring the listener “Don’t you cry, it’s gonna be ok, it’s gonna be alright.”
On the track, Love, Marco says “Ever since I heard 'cry' I was instantly obsessed. Mike & Steph did such an amazing job at perfecting this incredible record & I'm so extremely thankful that they trusted me and the project enough to let me use the song as a part of the 'broken hearts club' EP."
"‘cry’ to me is the perfect 'moving on' record & it really is the best way to close out the EP as a project. It sums up all of the emotions felt throughout and really allows listeners to feel that things are going to be okay and love will come and go. You just have to appreciate every position you're in as there is always something to learn and grow from, in EVERY situation.”
'broken hearts club' features production and song writing credits from Mike Sabath (Lizzo, Meghan Trainor, J Balvin) Nova Blue (Tate Mcrae, MNEK, Raye), Steph Jones (SG Lewis, Selena Gomez, Dove Cameron) and Tom Eggert (Busby Marou, Benji Lewis).
Speaking about the EP, Love, Marco says “broken hearts club situates itself in the acceptance of all the emotions that come with heartbreak, triumph and learning about love, through being in love. Each song is a glimpse into the emotions I felt going through that time in my life and how I overcame them in order to learn from them. I was really grateful to have written and recorded these records with my close friends & really enjoyed the process of uncovering these emotions throughout these varying time periods in my life.”
