The Forum - 'Reach'

Central Florida indie rock band The Forum returns for their second release of 2023 with the infectious and upbeat rock track 'Reach'. Produced by Jacksonville rock mainstay Josh Cobb, the track highlights driving guitar bursts and a stadium-rock hook to create a refreshing rock atmosphere reminiscent of The Wombats and Colony House.

Following the success of their spring release 'homesoon' and subsequent southeast tour, The Forum’s summer installment reminds listeners that there is more to be gleaned from the band’s rock roots.

A work in progress since 2017, reach is the result of years of writing workshops, college bar shows, and scrapped ideas pushing the band to the brink - and seeing the challenge through to the end. The group placed the song on a figurative “shelf” (referenced in the song’s ballad-like chorus) while continuing with other releases before resuming production this spring.

Marked by a straightforward guitar-rock style, reach hearkens longtime listeners back to 2020 fan favorite 'When Did Everything Fade?', a song similar in driving nature. The change comes to round out the other side of a pop-rock spectrum the band has crafted well, and serves as a departure from the synth-heavy nature of March release 'homesoon'.

With a second single of 2023 under their collective belt, The Forum now turns their attention to a busy autumn of studio time and regional touring in support of a growing year-long catalog.
