Bean Magazine Announce 'FOLLY' EP and Melodic Single 'Share You'

Brisbane's indie-rock outfit, Bean Magazine, have dropped news of their fourth EP, 'FOLLY', set for release on Friday, 6 June, through Purple Phase / Warner Music Australia. To whet appetites, they've also unveiled their latest single, 'Share You', a melodic and heartfelt track accompanied by an official music video. This breezy number, exploring the complexities of emotional vulnerability, follows the success of their previous single, 'Free As Hell'.

Lead singer Henry Creamer spoke candidly about the song's meaning, saying, “Telling someone how you truly feel is a daunting, heart on the line experience. Rejection nagging every moment in which you try and get your adoration across. This song is kinda the opposite. I don’t want to share my time with anyone else but I’ll also make it seem like I don’t and play it ‘cool’. ‘Share You’ came at a time where we all happened to find ourselves in tedious situations regarding our personal lives/relationships. As a band we’d spoken about offering some slower stuff to break up our lives and give the people out there a well earned rest. This tune echoes that sentiment and then some.”

Adding to the excitement, Bean Magazine are embarking on a massive 28-date national tour alongside fellow Brisbane band Ball Park Music, spanning May to July. From Tasmania to Western Australia, and everywhere in between, the tour will showcase their energetic live performances. This tour feels like a proper celebration of the collaborative relationship between Bean Magazine and Sam Cromack, the producer of both 'In The Shade' and 'FOLLY'.

Their previous EP, 'In The Shade', produced by Sam Cromack, featured singles like 'Old Or Young' and 'FIRE', demonstrating their ability to craft catchy, memorable tracks. The upcoming 'FOLLY' EP, once again produced by Cromack, promises to continue this streak.

Henry Creamer (guitars and vocals), Gabrielle Beiers (drums), and Seb Baren (bass) have cemented their reputation for blending punk-infused energy with thoughtful lyrics and classic rock riffs. Their 2024 has been packed, with support slots for The Rubens, Hockey Dad, and Rum Jungle, as well as performances at BIGSOUND and SXSW Sydney. This extensive touring and festival circuit has honed their live show, making them a must-see act on their upcoming national tour.
