Cosmo’s Midnight team up with KUČKA for new single ‘Chance On You’

Having connected almost a decade ago on ‘Walk With Me’, Cosmo’s Midnight have once again linked up with KUČKA on their latest single, ‘Chance On You’.

‘Chance On You’ instantly hits from the get-go, dancing the line between pop, dance, funk and many more sonics that make up Cosmo’s Midnight’s DNA. KUČKA’s vocals effortlessly glide over a funky and glistening melody before free falling into the chorus’ bouncy basslines, proving that there is magic in every Cosmo’s Midnight and KUČKA collaboration.

Cosmo’s Midnight shared, “Writing 'Chance On You' with KUČKA was one of the most effortless songs we've ever written. Laura has one of the most unique voices that just compliments every style. Since working with her on one of our favourite tracks 'Walk With Me' she's gone on to work with so many incredible artists so it was so lovely to get back in the studio with her. We spent the majority of our session just catching up and talking about how our lives have changed since we first wrote together. We wrote the track in a beautiful sunny studio in Atwater Village LA and we were just jamming and singing over the beat together, its so bouncy and funky and we hit this critical point that happens in every session where the song just clicks and we were dancing around the studio celebrating. The track is about emotionally investing in someone without knowing what the future may bring, but as always its sat on top of a dense, funky melodic instrumental. We hope you all enjoy this track as much as we did writing it with KUČKA.”

KUČKA added, “It's always so much fun to work with Cosmo and Pat and I think their music really reflects that energy. We were dancing around the studio and just riding that wave of positivity when we were writing this so it's gonna feel amazing to get this song out there and pass that along.”

‘Chance On You’ joins a string of star-studded collaborations for Cosmo’s Midnight recently, including ‘Fantasy’ feat. Fanc Moody, ‘Borrowed Time’ feat. Forest Claudette and ‘Gimme Some More’ feat. Shungudzo. Collectively, these singles marked the first taste of new music since their 2022 singles ‘Bang My Line’ featuring Tkay Maidza and ‘Can’t Do Without My Baby’. Prior to this, the pair released their ARIA-nominated sophomore album Yesteryear, following on from their critically acclaimed debut album, What Comes Next. Additionally, the duo have collaborated with artists such as Buddy, BAYNK, Yung Bae and many more, culminating in a whopping half a billion streams across their entire catalogue. Beyond their own music, the pair have worked with an incredible line-up of talent, having produced for global superstars BTS on ‘Fly To My Room’ as well as remixes for the likes of Flume, HONNE, SG Lewis and more.

The transformative feeling that has permeated Cosmo’s Midnight’s music over the years has been reflected in the growth of the duo as a performance unit; dominating sold out stages in Australia and overseas, as well as staking their claim as Australian festival favourites with numerous appearances at the likes of Splendour In The Grass, Laneway Festival and more. Last month, Cosmo’s Midnight performed two intimate shows in Melbourne and Sydney, taking it back to the club for one night only. Having sold out both shows in record time, the duo then jetted overseas for a run of festival appearances in New Zealand, Thailand and the Philippines.

With the promise of more to come soon from Australia’s favourite twin duo, tap into ‘Chance On You’ today and ready yourself for more Cosmo’s Midnight in the coming months.
