daste. Returns with Emotive New Single 'Atlas', Exploring Strength and Struggle

Gold Coast trio daste. has emerged from a period of creative introspection with a vibrant and captivating new single, 'Atlas'. This bopping pop track marks a significant step in their musical journey, showcasing a fresh, evolved sound that is both playful and emotionally resonant.

"'Atlas' was one of the first songs we wrote that made it on the album," the band shared. "At the time, we were still finding our direction, and this song came together organically, capturing the stress and weight of life."

The track's pulsating rhythm and shimmering synths create an irresistible groove, while the band's signature harmonies soar above the mix, delivering an uplifting message of resilience. The lyrics delve into the universal experience of feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, drawing inspiration from the Greek myth of Atlas, who was condemned to hold up the heavens.

"'Atlas' is about losing grip on your world but finding the strength to pick it up again," the band explains. "It's a reminder that we all have the capacity to overcome obstacles and carry on."

The accompanying music video, co-directed by Maxwell Byrne (Golden Vessel/1tbsp) and Bec Zanetti, complements the song's energy and spirit with colourful visuals and playful choreography. The band's close collaboration with their friends resulted in a truly enchanting visual experience.

As daste. prepares to embark on a tour of Australia, followed by their debut shows in the USA and Canada, fans can anticipate a revitalised live set, showcasing new, unheard material alongside their latest hit. The band's evolving sound and introspective lyrics promise an engaging and emotional live experience.

'Atlas' is a testament to daste.'s growth as artists and their ability to transform personal struggles into universally relatable pop anthems. With its infectious melodies, vibrant instrumentation, and powerful message, this track is set to resonate with listeners around the world.
