Tokyo-based international metalcore outfit ASK I FALL return with their dynamic new single, 'The Storyteller', marking their second collaboration with local Japanese producer Diekey of Given By The Flames. With a global line-up and diverse influences, the band continues to push boundaries, blending Japanese and Western metalcore into a thrilling and unique sonic experience.
Formed in Tokyo in 2020, ASK I FALL found common ground in their love for Japan and heavy music. Their 2021 debut EP 'Chroma' showcased their early promise, leading to the creation of their own metal event, Moshin' Tokyo, which has become a vibrant hub for international metalcore in Japan.
'The Storyteller', mastered by renowned producer Federico Ascari, delivers a powerful blend of heavy riffs and impassioned screams alongside soft, melodic vocals and emotional depth. The track encapsulates the band's journey, reflecting on their aspirations for success in music and the stories they will tell in the future, filled with pride and accomplishment.
"The song talks about chasing the dreams of being successful in music and how we will talk about it once we are old and proud of what we achieved," vocalist Rid explains.
ASK I FALL's music is an electrifying fusion of influences, drawing inspiration from acts like Bring Me The Horizon, Crossfaith, Coldrain, Polaris, and Periphery. Their sound is characterised by crushing breakdowns, soaring melodies, and intricate guitar work, all delivered with raw intensity and technical precision.
The band's live performances and music videos are further enhanced by their collaboration with talented pole dancers, creating a captivating visual spectacle that complements their powerful sound. This unique combination sets them apart, offering a truly unforgettable experience for fans of metal and beyond.
To celebrate the release of 'The Storyteller', ASK I FALL will host a special party at the 13th edition of Moshin' Tokyo. This international event will feature bands, DJs, and pole dancers from around the world, further emphasising the band's mission to bridge the gap between Western and Japanese metalcore scenes.
