Eric Dash grew up writing and recording EP’s in the wild, twin hearts of Philadelphia and New Jersey, playing countless shows around the Tri-State area and developing his style into the dark, visceral magic that it is today. A powerful talent, Eric has been on the fringes of breakthrough success for a while, but now, with the release of new single ‘Killin’ Your Lies’, that’s all about to change.
In 2012, Eric was discovered by notable producer Jack Joseph Puig (John Mayer/Black Crowes/Weezer), creating a powerful partnership that would last for the next five years, releasing singles like ‘One More Love Song’ which reached the Nielsen Top 40 Radio Chart. Eric openly describes working with Puig as “going to a one-on-one master’s program with a true genius”, and without a doubt, it’s those years that have shaped his current success.
As the music landscape changed drastically, Eric felt that the classic singer-songwriter music and old school rock had pretty much been silenced, so he started to produce himself. In addition to self-producing, Eric had been hard at work producing up-and-coming artists, including Kaatii, who has been featured on iHeartradio, a CW morning show, and numerous Spotify playlists, as well as helping artist produce and write the Celine Fashion Show.
At the beginning of 2019, Eric had his debut release as an artist and producer, which went on to receive acclaim from fans and critics alike. On September 11th, he released ‘I Just Need to Get Away’, a solid rock anthem cut from the same cloth as Nirvana and Everclear. Now, Eric is ready to unleash his latest single, “Killin’ Your Lies’, which will be available from November 13th, 2020.
A stellar new track, ‘Killin’ Your Lies’ is the second of several singles to be released this upcoming fall. A sharp epic, the new cut sees Eric telling the story about his struggle within the music industry’s changing climate and with the pressure of social media. Tune in below via Soundcloud.
Mixed by Adam Hawkins (Twenty One Pilots, K.Flay, Alanis Morissette) and mastered by Randy Merrill (Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Harry Styles), the new song is a deft hybrid between a pop-rock anthem and an old fashioned western. Eric explained, “I don’t know how to follow trends. That’s not inspiring to me whatsoever. But to do something different and still be accepted...that’s what I want. To be accepted as I am”.
With ‘Killin’ Your Lies’ arriving today, as well as a new single every second month, Eric is just setting the stage.
