I Fight Kids – ‘We Are War’

It’s been one year since I Fight Kids dropped their titanic debut album, and since then, it’s continued to deliver an absolute whirlwind of dance-punk sounds. One of the true highlights of the record, ‘We Are War’ hit with an undeniable sound, breaking away from the traditional punk sounds to deliver a far more progressive and innovative style, and now, on the first anniversary of the album, the band have shared a brilliant new video.

Premiered on Underground Nation a few days ago, the new video is everything we’ve come to love about I Fight Kids’ untamed style, flickering between a stream of different animations that perfectly reflect the rough, erratic nature of the track. It’s a unique and wonderfully vivid experience, one that capitalises perfectly on the track’s fine maelstrom of guitar, vocals, and dynamic rhythm sections.

Arguably one of the band’s most acclaimed singles so far, ‘We Are War’ is a caustic and undeniable example of the LA and Inland Empire band style, delivering a 90s punk rock anthem that is perfectly spiked with a mash of post-punk revival and trippy, psychedelic rock.

You can stream the new video below, which has already garnered over 1,500 views on YouTube alone and make sure you also head over to their Spotify page where you can stream their cataclysmic debut album in full.

Arguably one of this year’s most exciting new bands, I Fight Kids are ready to set fire to their local scene, and the resurgence of ‘We Are War’ is an unmissable event. Tune in above, and make sure you give the band a follow-on Facebook and Instagram below.
