An immensely talented musician, composer, and virtual artist, Jordi Fornies has been leading a neo-classical renaissance, pulling the gorgeous, but often under-appreciated genre out of the shadows and into the light. A unique performer, he’s delivered some of the most enchanting and impressive compositions of the last few years, drawing on emotive neoclassical sounds and ambient electronic tones to creating a stunning blend of traditional and modern styles.
Released on August 27th, Jordi’s latest composition, ‘The Open Book’ sees Jordi returning to his classical roots, revealing a solo piano piece inspired by personal relationships and the ever-evolving journeys they become.
Arguably his most intimate and evocative composition to date, ‘The Open Book’ is introspective by design, examining how important it is that we foster and nurture our relationships with others, sharing ourselves openly, honestly, and without fear. Speaking openly about the release of the new single, Jordi explained, “a book that treasures all the amazing moments of our life together, and that has many empty pages to continue writing. My new single 'The Open Book' talks about all these moments of a shared life, the sweet and the difficult ones and how it's important to be equally open about them.”
As with his previous singles, ‘The Open Books’ has been accompanied by a stunning music video, which features two dancers embracing and sharing their story while Jordi’s composition plays.
Available now on all major streaming platforms, ‘The Open Book’ is a perfect illustration of Jordi’s natural talents and refined style, capturing the delicacy of classical piano, and seamlessly blending it with a beautiful modern soundscape that only he could envision.
Along with ‘The Open Book’ and a string of impressive singles, Jordi has also released his first full-length album, ‘Loudly Quiet’, which was released earlier this year and received critical acclaim. Speaking candidly about the record, Jordi explained, “the album is a hopeful and poignant collection of compositions for piano and strings, focusing on an individual story.“
