A unique project that easily crosses both musical and cultural boundaries, Noisegun is the new name on everybody’s lips. The French American artist with an expansive sound that drifts between glossy synth-pop, French coldwave, post-punk, and startling shoegaze, Noisegun is bold, expressive, and utterly undeniable, capturing a dark, kaleidoscopic sound that is delivered in both English and French. After first landing on our radar with songs like ‘Crossing the Wall’ and ‘Summer Rain’, we’ve been keeping a close eye on Noisegun, and today, we’re proud to champion his new single.
Titled ‘Pulsation’, the new cut is a bizarre, yet brilliant blend of synthwave, dark wave, pop, post-punk and 80s nostalgia, creating a hazy, almost delirious sound that will have you enraptured. From start to finish, the track is enormously varied, keeping you guessing all the way through, while the French vocals add an interesting sense of style to the song.
Arguably one of the most intriguing synth releases of the last few years, ‘Pulsation’ is a track that well and truly lives up to its name, lashing out with some sharp synth arpeggios, classic drum loops, and a bold, yet ominous mood that lingers perfectly.
Along with the cut, Noisegun has also shared a bold music video that furthers the theme, delivering a brilliant stream of scenes from neon-lit city streets and beautiful women in smoky settings. You can stream the video below via YouTube, and head over to our annual Spotify playlists where ‘Pulsation’ is streaming alongside a string of other brilliant cuts.
Speaking about the track and its inspiration, Noisegun explained, “It is an autobiographical song based on my experience travelling abroad and meeting a sexy, mysterious lover.”
Available now on all major platforms, ‘Pulsation’ is an impressive illustration of Noisegun’s talents, and with more releases to follow, including tracks in English and French, he promises to establish his international identity in perfect form.
