Stefano May - 'Hope It Will Remind You'

Stefano May has partnered with the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation (ARPF) on his touching new single 'Hope It Will Remind You', a heart-wrenching and bittersweet dedication to those affected by the disease.

The artist has witnessed early stages of dementia develop into more serious stages of Alzheimer’s amongst friends and loved ones alike and draws passion for this cause from his own personal memories. With the dedicated research of ARPF and the immense power that music plays in the healing process, May hopes his new single will shed light on the Alzheimer’s community and provide comfort to those suffering.

A classically trained pianist and superior vocalist, Stefano relies on his mediums of expression to create a moving blend of dynamic piano arrangements and deep, stirring vocals.

The music video for 'Hope It Will Remind You' incorporates VHS tapes of Stefano's childhood, where he is seen bonding with his father through music and tender, loving exchanges of affection. The narrative further reflects on the profound effect that memories have and the severe impact of this heartbreaking disease. With groundbreaking and emotive outcries at the chorus, Stefano addresses his father in the home video footage as he sings, “Know my name again // Hear me play again.” Stefano hopes that by sharing his story and commitment to Alzheimer’s prevention, he will help spread awareness on healing, preventing, and keeping memories alive.

Stefano added, "My lyricist John Smallwood and I hope it helps people who suffer, as well as their loved ones. This song reminds me to live each day with gratitude, love, and compassion. Prevention of Alzheimer's is beyond important. It’s an honor to partner with The Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation as they continue to champion new findings and advocate for disease prevention, and I look forward to working alongside the organization to write music that can help people in whatever capacity I can."

Stefano is a singer, songwriter and piano virtuoso who fuses soul, pop and classical for an enthralling musical journey. The talented songwriter’s music is marked by hope, love and connection in the aim to heal.

Born in Italy, Stefano took to music at an early age and began classical piano  training at age seven. He quickly gained notoriety by performing on popular Italian TV shows, and since then has collaborated with famed songwriters, as well as the famed director Franco Zeffirelli. Honing his craft further, the musician and singer has ultimately composed and scored motion picture soundtracks under the guidance of award-winning filmmaker Jamal Joseph.
