The Flat Nasty – ‘The Worse Things Get’

A band who lives by the motto, “because bad choices make good stories,” The Flat Nasty have taken to the music scene with a power and passion unrivalled by most. After delivering a promising debut single a few years back, the band have been carving out a unique country-infused sound, blending evocative rock anthemics with heartfelt lyrics and an undeniable pop edge that will have you completely enraptured.

Two years on from their debut and The Flat Nasty are still creating devastating singles, delivering country-pop brilliant in tracks like ‘Take It That Way’, and sultry, lovestruck ballads in ‘You Do You’. Today though, we’re shining a spotlight on what promises to be their biggest hit yet, the wild, runaway country cut of ‘The Worse Things Get’.

A textured single, ‘The Worse Things Get’ is a rolling, self-deprecating song about a couple who is making the most of difficult times, struggling to keep afloat and make their way in an age of troubles. Hopeful, relatable, and ultimately comforting, it’s a song that flows with effortless charm, holding out an open hand to anyone who’s find it hard to get by.

Along with the release of the new single, the band have also shared a homespun music video which shows the band in their element, jamming to the new track while taking in the sun. Check it out below via YouTube.

Available now on most major platforms, and as part of our annual Spotify playlist, ‘The Worse Things Get’ is wonderfully emotive, offering a wistful, introspective, and ultimately vulnerable perspective on getting by despite all the hardships.
