Toronto’s Darcy McMann returns with timeless song and video ‘Long Lost Highway’

A Christian singer and songwriter best know for his time fronting Toronto based Beekeepers Society, Darcy McMann has spent the last few years refining his expressive and wonderfully authentic sound. Armed with a strong skillset and expressive musical talents, Darcy embarked on a promising solo career a few years ago, cutting a new path with the release of his debut single ‘All In’.

Since then, Darcy has continued to evolve and expand his sound, taking lead from his inspirations like Sufjan Stevens, Bob Dylan, and Hillsong United to fuel his artistic growth. His first single of 2024, ‘Long Lost Highway’ arrives as one of Darcy’s most moving and timeless tracks so far, capitalising on straightforward melodies and bright bursts of classic pop energy.

Backed by honest, poetic lyrics that recall scenes of sleepless nights and winding roads, ‘Long Lost Highway’ is a blossoming metaphor for Darcy life and faith, offering lines like “I don't want to lie awake, and think about that long, lost highway.” It’s a moving and easily accessible track, one that speaks to the heart while the music flows freely around you.

Available now alongside the official music video, ‘Long Lost Highway’ carries itself with honesty and integrity, perfectly illustrating who Darcy is as an artist. You can stream both the single and video below via YouTube.

Currently working to build awareness for his music and setting up live shows, Darcy is hinting at much more music to come throughout the year. For more from Darcy, including all his previous singles, be sure to check out his links and streaming sites below.
