Wildlife Freeway - 'Family'

The new single from experimental Jazz infused indie folk meets pop artist Wildlife Freeway, 'Family' and its accompanying visuals arrive as a complete listening experience. Produced by Alex Ebert (Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros), the new single is a tender love song for healing and acceptance.

The music of Sunny A. Atema, Wildlife Freeway is based near Joshua Tree California, and creates theatrical spaces from the everyday and seemingly mundane. Sounds roam to dark oceans and darker forests, tracing cathartic maps of awakening and wonder. Touring with her real upright piano, Sunny shares striking, intimate, haunting songs of reverence, story and interconnectivity.

Speaking about the single, Sonny describes it as "the most important song I will ever write." It is a year of therapy in a song, and lets us know that in this life we can't change where we come from, but we can, day by day, move through the chapters of our lives recognizing who our family becomes

In January 2020, just before the pandemic, Sunny recorded Wildlife Freeway the album, produced and accompanied by Alex Ebert (Edward Sharp), delivers eleven original folk jazz pop song jewels, and is available now.
