An independent rapper who first found his passion for music while listening to the likes of 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, and Drake, Flizzz has spent the last few years making his mark on Pennsylvania’s blossoming scene. Recently, he’s been championing the upcoming release of his third album, sharing an immersive new single that stands as one of his best to date.
Titled ‘Let Me Earn It’, the new single is Flizzz in full swing, lashing out with an vibrant, catchy melody that is artfully underpinned by an enduring emotive quality. Centered around a lingering refrain where Flizzz sings “you’re heart is my desire”, the song is one of yearning, with the talented artist reaching out and wanting to earn the affection of another. Speaking about the single, and delving into the inspiration, Flizzz explained, “[It] is a very emotional track that has sentimental value. It details a love story drifting to a wrong turn.” He added, “It really just details the start and not being able to cross the finish line in the end.”
Available now on all major platforms, ‘Let Me Earn It’ sets a brilliant standard for the upcoming record, proving Flizzz’s talents as an artist and songwriter. When speaking with Vocal earlier this year, Flizz spoke candidly about his life, style, and ambitions, adding, “I could bring you hard punching flows and hooks then switch up with a melodic dark feel into the track. I like to think of myself as an innovator and I love to make futuristic songs that will still be in Hip-Hop/Rap category. Whether I take an 80s inspired synth type beat and turn it into a heavy hitter rap that’s when I know I could be different and have something to offer.”
