A massive new single from one of the most intoxicating bands around, I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW) have released the stellar 'New Invention', featuring the enchanting and playful Tessa Violet. A fresh take on the chart-topping single from the band’s sparkling debut LP 'Razzmatazz' that arrived in October 2020 via Fearless Records, the single is a unique piece that fans new and old will surely love.
Of the track, lead singer Dallon Weekes says, “We had an opportunity to remix ‘New Invention’, and add in some of the elements that we use on stage that don’t appear in the album version. Like piano and backing singers. We wanted to make it even more different than that, so we reached out to Tessa Violet, who is amazing! Her voice is such a great addition, I really love how it turned out.”
Tessa further added, “I’m such a fan of iDKHOW, so I was super excited when they reached out to have me on ‘New Invention.’ The song is so seductive and mysterious and adding another voice makes it feel like a whole new take on the song, almost like a conversation happening - I can’t wait for everyone to hear this version.”
iDKHOW has garnered over 300 million streams worldwide to date. Following each performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ellen and CBS This Morning: Saturday, the band’s loyal fans catapulted them to the top of the US Twitter trends and their performance on the Kimmel recently earned two Telly Awards for Directing and Music Video Production.
The release follows the announcement of their massive 40+ date North American Tour that kicked off November 2, a performance at Reading and Leeds, and a sold out show in London.
