Joey Harkum - 'Sick and Tired'

An emotive song about being engulfed in drug culture and coming to the realisation that you no longer want to continue being a part of the lifestyle, Joey Harkum's 'Sick and Tired' is a touching introduction to his upcoming full length album, 'Salt and Tar', set for release later this Spring.

For his entire life Joey Harkum has been strumming a guitar and after a decade of touring as the lead singer and songwriter of Baltimore-based band Pasadena, he released his debut solo album, 'Love and Labor', to critical acclaim in 2016.  Known for his deep and poignant lyrics telling stories of joy, love, loss and sadness, Joey brings the human experience to life through his relentless tour schedule that culminated in the release ofLive at Buffalo Iron Works in 2018.

While 2020 brought new challenges, Joey has responded with writing and recording new music and has released his brand new album 'Storyboard' in March of 2021, creating an impressive platform for new music.

The first taste of his new work in 2022, 'Sick and Tired' is a perfect example of Joey's sound. Speaking openly about the new single, Joey explained, "'Sick and Tired' is a song about being engulfed in drug culture and coming to the realization that you no longer can/want to continue being a part of the lifestyle. Ultimately pursuing music led me to focus on something positive rather than falling victim to drug addiction like a lot of my close friends and family at the time."

Along with the release of his new music, Joey will also be going on tour throughout the year, with dates planned across the United States. Catch him on tour now or online via his website and social media pages below.
