Jurnee Live - ‘Trust Nobody’

Rinel Ferdinand, better known by their musical moniker of Jurnee Live, has recently shared an expressive new single that combines his authentic reggae sounds with his own personal experiences. Released as the latest in a long line of impressive singles, ‘Trust Nobody’ is a perfect illustration of his sound, detailing a beating heart and soulful journey that helps set it apart from other songs in the genre.

Born in 1983 in Conaree Village, St. Kitts, Jurnee Live’s family migrated to St. Croix in the Virgin Islands when he was young. There, he was raised alongside his two sisters and other family members, growing up under the loving gaze of his mother. Being his mother’s only son, she dearly nurtured him, ‘instilling the power of prayer in him, and coaching him to be a strong, confident black man.’

At the tender age of nine, Jurnee Live tragically lost his mother, but her teachings and fond memories have lived on through him and his music, with every release arriving as a touching testament to the love and care she gave to him. Throughout his life, music, poetry, and reading were JurneeLive’s refuge and ally, and  took advantage of peaceful moments and formulated verses that would develop into catchy songs. One of those powerful moments comes in the form of his latest single, ‘Trust Nobody’, a reflective release that has resonated brilliantly with his growing fanbase.

With over 35,000 streams on Spotify alone, ‘Trust Nobody’ has become a signature track for Jurnee Live, showcasing his songwriting talents and life lessons in perfect form.

Along with the release of ‘Trust Nobody’, Jurnee Live has been cultivating an impressive collection of sounds, including previous singles ‘I’m Only Human’, ‘Living My Best Life’, ‘Building My Label’, and the undeniable ‘Wine Fi Me’. A modern icon of the reggae scene, Jurnee Live has a lot more music planned, as he continues to build his library of unique music and make his mark known.
