Kerri Martin – ‘Northbound’

  • 2 min read

A talented singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and producer, Kerri Martin is arguably one of the finest talents that Orlando has to offer. With roots in classical music and years of piano, voice, and viola lessons, Kerri first began her musical journey back in 2016 with ‘Over and Over’, a stunning debut single that showcased her potential and fondness for indie-folk sounds. After five years of refining her talents and perfectly her alt-rock style, Kerri is back in the spotlight with her acclaimed debut album, ‘Northbound’.

A fiercely original talent, Kerri has developed a sensational style, one that speaks from the heart and lifts the soul with a fine fusion of modern folk-rock sounds. Following suit, the new album delivers a maelstrom of different genres, weaving rock, indie, folk, and country into a fine, hybrid sound that is sure to impress.

An album about going on a journey of growth whether that is with someone you love or alone, ‘Northbound’ explores themes of travel, introspection, and falling in love expressed through many different genres and a variety of emotive tones. Built from ten impressive tracks that are neatly composed of live drums, electric guitars, strings, and synth instruments produced and arranged by Kerri and enhanced through mixing and mastering by Matt Teden, ‘Northbound’ is everything we’ve come to expect from Kerri and much, much more.

Available now on all major platforms, ‘Northbound’ is a sublime example of Kerri’s many talents, and ever since its release, it's continued to burn across the airwaves, much to the love and adoration of her fans and critics.

You can stream the full album above via Spotify, and you can also find lead single ‘Undone’ streaming now on our annual Spotify playlist.
