A talented singer-songwriter with a unique country-pop sound, Laura Ashley first arrived on the music scene back in March with ‘Fight a Memory’, a charming and wonderfully rousing single that had fans and critics captivated. Since then, Laura has continued to refine her sound, pushing boundaries and constantly impressing with her perfect blend of powerful vocals and engaging lyrics. Today, Laura has shared the result of all her hard work, unleashing the seminal new single, ‘Summer Never Ends’.
Born and raised in Rogersville, Missouri, Laura moved to Nashville in 2020 to pursue her dream of making music full-time. After years of vocal training, Laura’s love and passion for music really took flight when she was chosen as the winner in the Dolly Parton #JoleneChallenge, and ever since she has gone from strength to strength.
While Laura’s debut single set the stage, ‘Summer Never Ends’ is where she really comes into her own, delivering a gorgeous blend of contemporary pop and rustic country. A song that speaks to her heart, soul, and homegrown roots, the new single is filled with charm and character, offering delicate, intimate insights into Laura’s sun-kissed, musical world. Speaking openly about her new single on social media, Laura revealed, “I'm feeling so grateful for such a fabulous Summer 2021 has been! I've been able to visit my home in Missouri for a couple shows, I got married, my husband just exited the army to start a new adventure. We just got back from our honeymoon and ‘Summer Never Ends’ was released!”
She continued, “If you don't know, that song is COMPLETELY about him. For the beginning of our relationship, he was deployed for months at a time and now that he's back it's been like a never-ending summer vacation! We've finally been getting to spend so much time together! I just feel so blessed. Thank you all for keeping up with my journey of music and finding the beauty in this world with me!”
While she might only have a few singles available so far, Laura is no stranger to the music scene, having opened for the likes of Matt Stell, Lindsay Ell, Carly Pearce, Danielle Bradbury, Jamie O’ Neal, and serving as an On-Air Personality for a CMA and ACM award-winning country station 94.7 Today’s KTTS in Springfield, Missouri for three years.
