Bean Magazine Unleashes Energetic New Single 'Free As Hell'

Brisbane's indie-rock trio, Bean Magazine, are charging into 2025 with the release of their electrifying new single, 'Free As Hell'. This anthemic track captures the band's signature sound, exploring the liberating feeling of letting go of an all-consuming desire. It's a euphoric declaration of independence, marking a powerful start to their year.

Lead singer Henry Creamer explains the inspiration behind the song; "Convincing yourself you’re better off without the thing you desire deeply can be freeing if you choose to spin it as such. When you stop letting that obsession dictate your life, you realise that you have the power to do and be whatever you want. The world is no longer limited to a single outcome or dream. You can now do and be whatever the fuck you want”. This sentiment of self-discovery and empowerment resonates throughout the track, delivering a euphoric exploration of letting go of something you thought would solve all your problems.

Adding to the excitement, Bean Magazine has revealed they'll be joining forces with Brisbane legends Ball Park Music for a 10-date national tour across May and June. The tour kicks off in Forth, Tasmania, on Friday, 22nd May, and will take them to Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Canberra. This tour feels like a well-deserved celebration for the band, showcasing their hard work and marking an exciting new chapter.

Last year's 'In The Shade', the band's Sam Cromack (of Ball Park Music) produced EP, featured the singles 'Old Or Young', 'Chicken', 'Nobody Wore Shoes', 'FIRE', and 'Don’t You Die'. The upcoming tour with Ball Park Music is a fitting partnership, highlighting the band's growth and their connection to the Brisbane music scene.

Bean Magazine have earned a reputation as a formidable live act. As Good Call Live noted, “Henry Creamer hits the mic with the gusto of an enraged grunge idol from the 90’s, spraying an energy straight from the get go ... the crowd has some new faces, all of which are in awe of what just occurred”. With the release of 'Free As Hell' and their upcoming tour, Bean Magazine are poised to make 2025 their most impactful year yet.
