New Zealand-based producer Late June has unveiled his latest single, 'Fragments', a captivating sonic journey that seamlessly blends his signature chilled electronic sound with a deep house influence. Following his recent collaboration with Powfu on 'stairs of stars', 'Fragments' marks a new chapter in Late June's musical evolution.
The track is characterised by its atmospheric pads and keys, creating a soothing soundscape that envelops the listener. A deepened four-to-the-floor percussive groove provides a driving rhythm, making 'Fragments' the perfect track for both introspective contemplation and uplifting moments of release.
Late June describes 'Fragments' as a reflection on his experiences living in fragmented spaces while touring and travelling, finding solace in the warmth of ambient instrumentals and heartfelt melodies. "[The track] returns to the comfort of an ambient instrumental with heartwarming melodies and vocal cuts," he explains.
This release follows a prolific period for Late June, who last year shared an EP, 'Keep Me Closer', and received acclaim from Spotify and Apple Music, with additions to notable playlists such as 'New Music Friday AU/NZ' and 'Fresh Finds Dance'. His recent performances include supporting slots for Edapollo and PINES in Australia, a festival debut at Our:House Festival in Auckland, and airplay on Sirius XM Chill and George FM.
Fans eager to experience Late June's music live can catch him at his co-headline show with BAVHU on Saturday, June 29th, at Lilya Lounge in Auckland. For further details and ticket information, you can visit the event page.
