The Buoys Release Final Single 'Holding On' Ahead of Debut Album

Sydney pop-rock band, The Buoys, continue to build anticipation for their upcoming debut album, 'Lustre', with the release of their latest single, 'Holding On'. This marks the band's fourth single of the year, following 'Check Mate', 'Subject A' and 'Guard My Heart'.

In a departure from their typical sound, 'Holding On' offers a softer sonic landscape while retaining the emotional vulnerability that has become a hallmark of their music. The band describes the track as an exploration of hope and doubt in the face of potential loss, a familiar theme for many listeners.

The lyrics reflect a newfound resilience in the face of uncertainty, suggesting a personal growth and a refusal to succumb to past patterns of avoidance. The song's message resonates with the idea of embracing vulnerability and fighting for a love that may not always be easy.

'Holding On' serves as the final glimpse into 'Lustre', which is set to drop on July 12th. Recorded with Chris Collins in NSW's Northern Rivers region, the album promises to traverse a spectrum of emotions, life experiences, and musical influences, spanning indie, rock, punk, alternative, and more.

The Buoys' national tour, the Lustre Album Tour, will follow the album's release, kicking off in Hobart on August 16th and concluding in Perth on September 1st.

The release of 'Holding On' comes after a whirlwind month for The Buoys, including their debut Like A Version, a UK tour with Vacations, and an appearance at The Great Escape.

Having established themselves as a major player in the Australian music scene, The Buoys continue to evolve and captivate audiences with their energetic live performances and relatable lyrics. With just weeks to go until the release of 'Lustre', fans eagerly anticipate what this dynamic band has in store.
