Breakthrough artist Mark Ambor has officially confirmed the release of his highly anticipated debut album, 'Rockwood', set to drop on August 16th via Hundred Days Records. Fans can pre-save or pre-order the album now, and celebrate the announcement with the release of a brand new track, 'Our Way', available today.
Ambor describes the album's namesake as a personal haven: “'Rockwood' was the perfect escape for my friends and I growing up. A place where the weight of the world fell off our shoulders for just a moment. If I’ve done this album justice, it’ll be that escape for whoever listens.”
The release of 'Rockwood' follows a whirlwind year for Ambor, who sold out his North American and European tours in record time, achieved his first chart-topping single, and amassed a global following with his relatable storytelling and consistent stream of new music. Ambor's journey began in 2020, writing lyrics in his parents' basement and uploading covers and original songs online. His debut EP, 'Hello World', released in 2022, catapulted him from bedroom musician to global sensation.
'Rockwood' will feature previously released chart-toppers 'I Hope It All Works Out' and 'Good To Be', along with his latest hit single, 'Belong Together'. The latter has already reached the top 40 on the global Billboard 200, topped charts in 20 countries, and accumulated over 350 million streams.
The album was produced and written by Ambor in his childhood home, located near the album's namesake, Rockwood State Park. Ambor explains, “Rockwood is a place you’d go to watch the sunset, to drink, to smoke, first date, maybe a picnic…everyone has a version of that, no matter where you grow up. I want this album to be an escape for people. I want them to feel good when they listen to these songs. I want them to feel heard. I want them to feel like part of a community, to feel a certain togetherness, to feel like they’re part of something bigger than themselves.”
