Tom Grennan Reaches 'Higher' with New Single, Delivering A Fresh Blast of Modern Pop

Tom Grennan's latest single, 'Higher,' is a vibrant testament to his growth as an artist. Fresh off his biggest headline show, Grennan is back with a track that signals a new chapter in his career. 'Higher' is a blast of state-of-the-art pop, showcasing Grennan at his most confident and creative.

The song, a thrilling first taste of Grennan's upcoming fourth album, is a testament to his evolution from singer-songwriter to pop powerhouse. Working with producer Justin Tranter, Grennan has found a sound that echoes the greats like George Michael and Prince.

'Higher' began with a piano riff that wouldn't leave Grennan's head. The melody and lyrics flowed effortlessly, capturing the energy and optimism of the song. It's a testament to Grennan's songwriting prowess, even when he's not physically in the studio.

“The weird thing about me is that I make music in the studio but most of my good ideas come to me when I'm not actually in the studio,” Tom says. “On the day we wrote ‘Higher’ I’d left the room but I just couldn’t get that riff out of my head. It turned into a melody, which turned into a phrase… I ran back into the studio, with the piano riff still playing, threw my hands up and sang: ‘It's taking me higher. ’Everyone in the room just went: ‘Boom. That’s it.

This new single hints at a stunning addition to Grennan's already impressive discography. With two number one albums, multiple awards, and billions of streams under his belt, Grennan is already a UK music heavyweight. But with 'Higher,' he's ready to take things to a whole new level.

The song is a testament to Grennan's ambition and his refusal to be pigeonholed. As he puts it, "I don't want to just be a singer-songwriter." 'Higher' is proof that he's much more than that. It's a bold statement from an artist who's ready to reach new heights.
