Brisbane music collective The Dream Spiral deliver new single ‘Redemption’

A unique musical collective consisting of five talented artists, The Dream Spiral is the culmination of years of experience and creativity instilled into one diverse project. Based in Brisbane, the enigmatic super-group have been teasing the release of their forthcoming album, and today, we have the first glimpse of what’s to come.

Titled ‘Redemption’, the band’s first single from the album is an undeniable sonic maze, layering modern indie rock aesthetics that have been spiked with nuanced electronic influences courtesy of Depeche Mode and Massive Attack. A dark, yet poignant reflection on “desire and sin and how the insidiousness of religion makes us feel guilty for feeling pleasure,” the track is a lavish journey of twists and unexpected turns, creating a brilliant listening experience that will keep you hooked until the very end.

Instantly compelling and infinitely expressive, ‘Redemption’ is a fittingly gratifying track, delivering an intense range of sounds and emotions that linger long after the song has ended. Along with the release of the single, The Dream Spiral have also shared the official music video for the track, which was filmed at Hellbound by the multi talented Claire Marshall. Featuring the incredible dancing skills of Lucy Hood, who brought all aspects of the song alive in a wonderful array of emotions, dance and visuals, the video is a brilliant accompaniment that heightens every aspect of the song.

An impressive glimpse into the varied creative world of The Dream Spiral, ‘Redemption’ sets the stage for the upcoming album perfectly. Cementing themselves as a band to watch as the year marches on, The Dream Spiral are a creative force to be reckoned with.
