Sydney indie four-piece, Jet City Sports Club shine in their latest single ‘Sunny Morning’.

Having enjoyed a fruitful and exciting year of releases and breakthrough performances in 2023, Sydney indie four-piece, Jet City Sports Club, are kicking off a brand new year with their latest dose of musical serotonin, ‘Sunny Morning’.

As the band’s first release for 2024, ‘Sunny Morning’ is a fitting track to reposition Jet City Sports Club as one of the most exciting names to be keeping your attention across as the year gets underway. Recorded in Sydney with producer Fletcher Matthews (The Buoys, Trophy Eyes, Dear Seattle), Jet City Sports Club have woven the warmth and rich depth of their past releases in with fresh perspective looking forward.

The track is accompanied by a truly stunning video, directed by Josh Fogarty and edited by Liam Jordan. The video emits an overwhelming sense of joy and nostalgia - filmed in and around the south-coast of NSW. As the band stops off at glorious beaches, second hand stores and petrol stations, it’s hard not to get wrapped up in everything the band are throwing at you.

Having proven their status as a formidable live act supporting bands including The VANNS, Connie Constance (UK), Genghar (UK), Ruby Fields, The Grogans and Trophy Eyes, Jet City Sports Club have solidified this presence with single after single that have shown continued elevation in sound and musicianship. On their second EP ‘Every Single Dream’ JCSC reflect on all of the memories and opportunities that they have been afforded during their time in the band.

The band shared, “The new EP is a collection of songs that are extensions of us, and the experiences being in this band has created. We named it Every Single Dream as it’s a bit ambiguous, and people can attach their meaning to it when they’ve heard the songs and made their own relationship with the EP. It also has a sort of second meaning where we see this band as a vehicle to accomplish every single one of our dreams.”

Although the band’s discography has always felt tight production wise, on ‘Every Single Dream’ the band have truly aimed up in the studio, looking to push forward sonically and give their fans a true representation of how far they have come as songwriters since the release of their debut EP back in 2021.
