Raised in Jamaica, Queens, Meet Boooshman started his music career after graduating from the Institute of Audio Research and co-founding his own label, Covenant Government, with close friend Relz Glover. While still widely unknown, he has been making moves throughout 2023, building a fanbase and delivering a string of impressive singles like ‘Amazon Prime’.
Alongside Relz, Meet Boooshman has made his mark recently with unauthorised remixes of lann Dior, Yeat and Lil Peep, plus guest features from Beam, Ras Kass, Planet Asia and YahRa. For the new single however, he’s stuck to a raw, original track, one that takes shape through hazy, sultry beats, tempered kicks, and bold delivery.
Available now, the track has already been making waves online, following in the footsteps of breakthrough release ‘Coming Back’, which has over 555,000 streams on Spotify alone. Perfectly illustrating Meet Boooshman’s signature sound, the new cut is arguably one of his strongest, capturing the harsh experimentation of his early work, and blending it with a polished take on modern hip-hop sounds.
After spending 2020 experimenting with new sounds and styles, from classical music to that classic Philly club scene, Meet Boooshman has cultivated a wide ranging and evocative sound. With releases like ‘His Only Entertainment Vol. 1 & 2’ as well as a slew of new singles to express and expand his artistry, he’s become an artist to watch for all the right reasons.
