The Antenna Tribe - ‘Everything (So Alive Edit)’

An immersive Los Angeles-based musician and producer, Sean Whalen first began releasing music in 2021, taking on the enigmatic Antenna Tribe moniker and working closely with a handful of talented singer-songwriters. Exploring a range of textured, electronic sounds that mingle artfully with influences from new wave and  lo-fi R&B to ambient, industrial-pop tones.

Throughout this year, The Antenna Tribe has been sharing an enchanting string of singles made in collaboration with vocalist Silke, beginning with ‘The Sound Of A Spinning Plant’, and more recently, the softly melodic ‘Everything’. Now, Sean and Silke are presenting a brand new version of their cosmic hit, unveiling the deeply evocative So Alive Edit. Constantly pushing boundaries, and always ready to enchant an audience, the new edit is a welcome return, offering a new side to gorgeous release.

While the original release saw the project continuing to explore cosmic-tinged sounds filled with streams of subtle synth tones and structured percussion, the new edit takes on a more vibrant life, instilled with new energy and soaked in tantalising reverb. While Silke’s vocals remain as strong as ever, the So Alive Edit puts new focus on the tempered percussive beats and hushed, nostalgic tones.

As with the release of the original track, The Antenna Tribe have also shared an official music video, which is available now via YouTube. Cinematic and deeply immersive, it’s a perfect accompaniment to the new song, fitting well within the project’s aesthetic and style.

Beginning as a collaborative project helmed by Los Angeles-based musician and producer Sean Whalen, The Antenna Tribe first took form in 2021 with Sean began working closely with a handful of talented singers and songwriters. Since then, the project has produced some of the finest and luscious soundscapes that we’ve ever heard.

The Antenna Tribe will be releasing new material throughout the year, which will ultimately culminate in the release of two full length albums by year end, commemorating the collaborations with both Silke and Okafuwa.
