Theo Fitzgibbon - 'Waterfall'

Dublin singer and songwriter Theo Fitzgibbon has released his debut single 'Waterfall', and it's an absolutely brilliant new piece. While Theo is no stranger to performing, playing every major gig venue in Dublin and previously being the lead vocalist and songwriter for band League of Nation, he is now stepping out on his own.

After his time on the gig circuit, Fitzgibbon wanted to hone his craft and went to IMW in London to study music production. Following his time studying in London, Theo took a break from music to attend a treatment centre in Dublin to address some addiction issues. After taking the time and doing the work to change his life’s direction, Theo was ready to start putting all of his energy into his music career.

On the release of his debut single, Theo explains, “I am thrilled to be releasing my debut single . Waterfall is a tune I am really proud of, it’s what my music is all about: punchy, catchy music with a belter of a chorus and amazing production, in this case from the incredibly talented Marc Carolan.”

In his own words, Theo wants to write the kind of pop music that “people can sing when they’re having a few drinks in a kitchen somewhere at 4am”. Fitzgibbon likes to focus on crafting catchy, belting songs that make a huge impact. He has been hugely inspired by Noel Gallagher’s advice "to write a fucking chorus". Theo uses the classic line up of instruments to create these soaring tunes: drums, piano and of course, guitar.
