A criminally underappreciated indie-pop outfit from the beating heart of modern Croatia, Ischariotzcky have been circling the international stage ever since the release of their debut album, ‘Recovery’. A unique musical force that have proven their talents through shows and festivals throughout Europe, Ischariotzcky are arguably one of Europe’s best-kept secrets, and today, we’re so damn proud to premiere their new single ‘Commitment’.
Released by LAA / Basic & Rough, and available now on all digital music platforms, ‘Commitment’ comes in the wake of a highly successful collaboration with J. R. August, the new single sees Ischariotzcky continuing to impress, digging deep into their repertoire and delivering a massive glimpse into their upcoming studio album.
Shining with sharp production and a dynamic pop sound that sees Ischariotzcky continuing to expand and experiment with their sound, ‘Commitment’ is a masterclass in modern music, delivering new compositions, instrumentation, and effects in perfect form. Built strongly on Ischariotzcky’s unique sense of experience, everything about the new single is designed to invoke a sense of strength and artist truth, capturing the essence of the band while also delivering a truly cinematic experience.
Alongside the single, the band have also revealed some stellar visuals which were designed by graphic artist Duje Medić, along with an engaging music video that was directed by long-time collaborators of the band, Goran Stojkić (of Bonk Studio) and Tomislav Dugandžić (of Plutons Productions).
Upon revealing the new single, frontman Joško Klarić explained that he wrote the song as part of a series, saying, “during the lockdown, I decided to write one song every day. The song ‘Commitment’ was the third in a row." He further went on to explain the meaning behind the single, explaining that in these dark days, even eternity is given an expiration date, especially when it comes to love.
