Firmly staking their position as one of Australia’s premier alt-rock outfits, LOSER release the fourth single ‘The More I Know’ from their waterfall-style EP ‘Stadium Dreams On A Bedroom Budget’. With this release LOSER will be touring the east-coast in May across six stops.
Skilfully balancing power with refinement, madness with melody they now share the vulnerable experience of re-establishing creative drive after lost passion. Harnessing the strength of any great Foo Fighter album, they have gained critical and industry acclaim for their highly refined take on alt-rock.
Tim of the band explained, "After lockdown it was hard to get back to regular programming, I lost faith in playing music and I was questioning whether I wanted to do it anymore. Craig and I sat down and punched this song out in a day, the lyrics are the most meaningful on the EP. It’s about getting out of that rut and wanting to succeed more than ever after spending so much creative energy trying to make ends meet.”
‘The More I Know’, was recorded at Restless Noise Studios, the band’s own home studio. The track was produced by band members Craig Selak and Tim Maxwell, the latter of whom also mixed. To close out the team, the track was then mastered by George Georgiadis at Little Wing Sound (The VANNS, Gang Of Youths).
As with the previous singles to be released, LOSER are releasing a live performance clip, filmed at Restless Noise Studio.
For this release, LOSER will not be offering physical merch except for an extremely limited run of ten signed Clear 12” Vinyl, never to be re-pressed again. Not available to purchase, these vinyls will only be open to those who attend a LOSER live show on their tour across the east coast in May. Mid-set, the band will randomly draw a ticket holder's name and pass along the vinyl to the chosen fan.
The band continued, “Call it crazy, call it genius, call it something in between – either way we thought this was the best and coolest way to share something special for this EP with our fans. It’s a gift to the people who come to see us live and hopefully a cool collectible in the future as we won’t ever be pressing this release again in its current form. We’re yet to know if our signatures will actually de-value the vinyl or not hahahah.”
